Reminded myself this morning about the desire to use this medium to stay connected with friends. I came home from a meeting with the kitchen designer of the contracting firm we're using for our remodel and found a butterfly feeding and posing on the Joe Pye Weed in my front yard prairie. I was able to quickly post the photos I took to Twitter and Facebook, but the friction required to share them here has delayed my doing so.

This is fairly typical of how things work for me. The mobile devices that are my more common means of communicating make other venues easier to contribute to and participate in. I think the effort to do so here is worth it, however, so I'll try to keep returning, even if it only to share pretty pictures.
