I'm in a weird place/time at work in which I have my time allocated to various projects that I can't usefully work on at the moment. There are regular meetings, but a (sadly typical) lack of definitions of what's to be done by when.

If everything goes according to pattern, we'll be starting the remodeling project in earnest just in time for me to be extra busy at work. Thus ensuring that I will have the maximum amount of stress with the minimum amount of rest. I may be grumpy for the rest of the summer.

I am, on the positive side, truly excited about the results of the remodeling and the firm we're dealing with seems to be doing all the good planning things to keep the stresses from that project to a minimum. (Contrast with the general lack of planning on work projects.) We are meeting to see the first design ideas tomorrow morning. That will also be the first "more real" budgets. Fun and stress in equal measures there, I guess.

The storms of the rain and thunder variety have my garden plans in disarray. Things are growing well enough that getting to the trees I want to remove his getting harder. Add in the timing of the rains to my schedule for getting things done and some of them may well live to next year.
